Then we headed north, back up to Dallas to meet up with friends the Kneelands and Eastmans! A trip wouldn't be complete without 3 days of camping mixed in between it all would it? We went to Lake Texoma and picked a stellar site for all three families. We hiked, played football, kickball and bocce ball until Darren ended all the fun and accidentally dropped a tree stump on Sarah's foot and fractured it. Luckily, it was a very small break and she told everyone that her dad dropped a log on her! She walked around in a boot for a couple weeks and it was all better. We had some great food too. Darren made an oven out of a cardboard box, foil, and charcoal and cooked us cinnamon rolls both mornings. Holly made some amazing dutch oven apricot chicken and rice. The kids built themselves a lean-to shelter like Survivor Man would have done. We had a freakin BLAST! Can't wait to do it again guys!

Hey totally random but Chad's brother Jeff is in our ward. We've been here for 3 years and slow me never put the connection together until now. Doh. Could never figure out why he looked so familiar. Anyway, tell them Hi for me...small world!
